So you’re thinking it would be nice to know how can teachers make extra money on the side and double their monthly teaching salary. Even better would be to do it in as little as 2 months by making extra money online. But you just don’t know how it could ever be a possibility? Sure, it sounds great, but is it really something you could do? It must be insanely hard right?
Actually, not at all. Strategy is the key to making this goal a reality. I’m going to share the 4 step process that will help you turn a pipedream into a teacher’s dream come true.
Get this, one year I made $6,545.55 online while I was still in the classroom, the next year, while still a classroom teacher – I made $95,000.
The secret isn’t in how hard I worked, or the one product that changed it all for me, the secret is in the strategy and the action plan.
If you follow the path of someone who has gone before you, it’s even easier than it was for me to double your sales in 2 months alone.
If you’re new here, we love actionable strategies that you can take with you and apply right away. So my focus today is to give you just that. The only catch? You have to do the homework. Take some notes and jot them down in your notes app on your phone. Write these steps down and get started living a life you love, while making the income you deserve.
A real goal.
A number goal.
I want you to write down what doubling your sales means to you and if doubling your sales feels underwhelming then, let’s say double your monthly teaching salary. I want it down to the exact penny. Earlier I shared my story of how I went from $6,545.55.
I didn’t round up, I wanted to share the exact number because real numbers bring real results. I want the exact number down to the penny that you intended to make. That’s your goal. That’s what we are working towards. That’s the number I want you to write on a sticky note, well 5 different sticky notes and place in various high traffic places around your home.
Now that we have our goal, it’s time to make a plan. No problem here if you’re thinking silently to yourself “ Kayse, I’m here so just give me a plan already.” That’s exactly what I’m going to do for you in step 4….
But in the meantime, I want you to brainstorm. Think about how you can make this a possibility. Ever needed extra money so you decide to throw a yard sale? Just me? Is that a southern thing?
I’m not sure, but anytime we were scraping to make ends meet and I needed to pay the phone bill, or light bill, or heck – before we qualified for government assistance I wanted to eat something other than a $1.25 Totino's pizza, I would throw a yard sale and determine exactly how much money I needed. And then find things I could sell to meet that goal. For those of you, youngin’s out there, this was before the days of Facebook Marketplace.
It’s so much easier to hustle than it used to be. But I made the yardsale plan, I needed $150 for the phone bill, and I needed to find about $200 worth of things to sell. My best friend is the best with yard sales so sometimes we would join forces and make even more sales by driving more traffic to our yard.
Side story, I once sold an elliptical that was given to us to a lady who walked up to my house and asked if she could test out the elliptical before she purchased it. I said “of course.” I kid you not, this lady got on that elliptical and did an hour workout. That’s dedication. I admired her so much for doing the dang thing and not caring what anyone thought of her. We lived on a busy road too so she was just getting her sweat on while traffic was going by. After the hour she got off, called her husband and he showed up with a truck to pick it up. Talk about a great trial offer! Hahahaha! That sell alone almost helped up meet our goal.
Here’s where things get a little questionable if you have no idea what I’m talking about. So here goes the quick version – figuring out what you are passionate about is the first part of this step so jot down all of the things you are passionate about and zero in on your main thing. Once you figure it out, it’s time to work on targeting a term that goes with your passion, from there we can create products, product lines, programs and so much more and that’s how we compound interest.
Compound interest occurs when previously earned interest is added to the principal amount invested or borrowed.
In teacher terms that means we will begin making money from our first steps and will continue to make money time and time again as we add to the principal products and services we offer.
Turn your IDEAS into OPPORTUNITIES that will help you design the life you want. In just four days, we will dive deep into the skills and strategies you need to create the freedom you want, the income you deserve, and, the influence to make your mark on the education world.
It’s time to break through the classroom glass ceiling (without leaving your students behind) and own your limitless potential to make MORE money and help MORE teachers, parents, and students without more hustle. Because teachers barely have time for a bathroom break!
It's all happening March 23-26, so mark your calendar, and get ready to join the most amazing group of teachers around. We are going to make our plans and compound our interests together!
