Have you ever felt deflated? Like you needed a little pick-me-up? Back to school makes me feel that way. I get a little stressed, and at times, feel like I'm just not good enough. In the transition of moving my classroom from 6th grade to 8th grade, I was exhausted. I had been running around trying to find decor motivation and teaching motivation. Then, like always, I got back up on my feet and started looking for inspiration.
Soon, I was ready to go! After stalking your Instagrams, Twitters, and Facebooks, I realized almost an entire day had flown by. I had so many thoughts running through my head, but I knew what I needed to do. I needed to get to work. It was time for my game face.
What do I need in my classroom? That's easy. Positivity. I need positiveness. Luckily, I stumbled upon some awesome classroom decor by Hope King with a positive kick! Whew. Then I remembered to pull out my audiobook app and start playing “Move Your Bus,” by Ron Clark. Duh! What a great motivational book for BACK TO SCHOOL!!!! If you haven't read it, you should. I would suggest the audio version, so you can multitask! I usually play music from my speakers at school when I'm gearing up for the upcoming year, but this is totally inspirational. My room is shaping up already!
SO WHAT'S MY INSPIRATION? I had to jump back to TPT Vegas. If you didn't get to go, this is not a “wow you totally stink and missed out on everything blog post.” This is a “hey, maybe next year we can be inspired together blog post.” I'll be honest, at times, I felt lost in translation of all of the veteran sellers. I'm not “one of them.” I am probably the easiest person in the world to talk to. I can talk to a brick wall, but for some reason, a lot of the veteran sellers intimidate me. #realtalk
Please know that it is not ALL veteran sellers! They have a connection. They've been with TPT for a while, and their following is HUGE! I was a little late to the TPT party, but really feel like I am just as important. Don't you? So my inspiration is you – new seller! I want to be your spark! I want to inspire you, but this isn't an easy task. I need your help. I need your motivation. I need for you to cheer me on, just like I will cheer you on! I pray that in ten years I will be that veteran seller, and you all will know my name – but I HOPE you feel confident enough to come speak to me. You're on my team. I'm on your team. Let's not limit ourselves to anything. I got inspired by Chis Kesler and pushed to my limit when it came to marketing and strategies. He has motivated me to push as hard as I can. So, in celebration, I just released my first Science Interactive Notebook for Kindergarten!! Excitement!

Great attitudes like yours inspire me! I was in Vegas too! First timer too and it was a little overwhelming and i am like you…if your breathing…we can be besties! 🙂 Your blog is great and your videos are a riot! If you aren't already on Periscope…get there girl!
Hey there! Thank you so much! I wish we could have met each other. I am on Periscope, but not as me. I'm just a stalker of everyone else!!! Hahahahaha! Thanks for stopping by! I will be posted every Monday and Friday from now on. I hope to see you back!
I love your videos!! Thanks for taking the time to share your success tips!
I LOVE your videos. I just switched over to a business account on Pinterest only to see that although I have about 200 something followers, no one pins my pins! Hahahaha laughable, really. So I am now doing my research. Also, thanks for this particular post. Very inspirational. I am planning on going to TPT Vegas next year and will not be a veteran seller, but someday…someday…I WILL BE and so WILL YOU!

Great post, Kayse. Thanks for the inspiration. I enjoy your enthusiasm and humor. I was at the Cool Kids Meet and Greet. Vegas was motivating and a bit overwhelming, but the passion and knowledge from the presenters and the participants really made a lasting impression. I'll have to check out more of your videos.
Thank you so much for this post! I am a very new (as in so new I haven’t even shared my store with my closest teacher friends yet) TPT seller. I was just googling randomness about TPT searching for some type of encouragement that I am not too late to be a TPT seller. So glad I came across your blog! Thanks for thinking about and encouraging new sellers like me 🙂 I will definitely be following your store and blog, I have so much to learn!!
