Have you ever thought about creating an online course for teachers? Making a digital course is one of my favorite ways to take your teacher business to the next level and diversify your income. I’ve created several courses now, and I love sharing my tips and advice with you! You may be thinking you want to stick with selling your teaching resources, but I want to show you what life could be like if you were to create an online course for teachers, parents, or students. Keep reading to see why this is one of the best decisions you can make as a teacherpreneur!
Why did you decide to become a teacher? I became a teacher because I LOVE…teaching!! I get so excited when I pull out my chart paper and markers (now it’s my iPad and Apple Pencil) and teach something. I love those lightbulb moments; I love connecting with my students. I love school supplies and sharing my knowledge. When I made the hard decision to leave the classroom, I knew I couldn’t stop teaching. It is ingrained in my bones!! That’s why I decided to create an online course for teachers. Now I get to do all of those things with teachers worldwide, and it’s the coolest ever!
If this year has taught us anything, it’s that teaching doesn’t only take place within the four walls of a classroom! Online learning is BOOMING, and teachers, parents, and students are searching for virtual learning opportunities. It’s a win-win situation: you get to teach what you’re passionate about, and they get to learn from you!
One of the hardest parts of creating an online course is choosing what to teach! Even though you may have so many topics that you love, choose ONE THING that you are the most passionate about (for me, it’s how to grow your teacher business) and create a course on that. When we confuse, we lose.
Digital courses usually have higher ticket offers, which means that you’ll make more money right when you sell your course! A lot of people want easy and quick money, but this is NOT that. Easy and quick money will leave as quickly as it comes. Online course creation takes hard work and dedication.
Creating an online course for teachers will provide you with a more sustainable income. I teach you step-by-step how to create and launch an online course for teachers, parents, or students in The CEO Teacher® Academy. And when you do those things correctly, your course WILL be successful!
The best part is that once you’ve found that success, you can relaunch it year after year without reinventing the wheel! What if you created a successful course that you sold at $197 (just like my student and friend, Lindsey) and 300 teachers bought it each year? I’ll do the math for you: that’s a little less than $60k! I could sure use an extra $60,000 each year; how about you?
I am ALL about hustling less. I can’t stand the hustle. There are seasons of life when we have to hustle. But, I’d rather prioritize what I need to do, get it done, and then live my best life! One of my favorite things about creating a course is that you can leave that hustle behind. You don’t have to be creating new resources all the time to keep up your sales. You can make what you want to create and choose when you want to sell, instead of keeping up with the trends and holidays. And you can spend your time building relationships with and serving your community!
I feel empowered now that I’ve created my courses. I am the driving factor of my success. I don’t have to rely on algorithms, reviews, and seasons, because I get to choose when I’m launching my programs. I can work super hard to launch something for eight weeks and spend the next eight weeks living my best life with my family. If you’re ready for more freedom, more income, and more impact, consider creating an online course for teachers!
