Apparel That Will Support You While You’re Tackling Your New Year’s Fitness Goals
I have a few different tops I have loved for workouts. If you’re willing and have the budget to invest, I recommend this racerback tank top or this swiftly tech long-sleeve long-sleeve shirt. Both the tank top and the long sleeve are great tops to wear for light activity or an even more strenuous exercise. I like wearing the racerback tank when I am doing my Peloton rides.
Oh, and I can’t forget about these tops from Target! They are my favorite to wear for a workout and then even a day in the office. I always get questions about these when I am wearing them in my Instagram stories, and I love that they are affordable too.
All the women know you need a supportive sports bra when you’re trying to stay active. I love all of Under Armour’s bras. They provide support at each level, whether you require high, medium, or lower support. I’ve worn Under Armour sports bras for a few years, but I also decided to try out the ones from lululemon when I bought my other pieces. I’m pretty picky when it comes to what I wear to workout (I have had to try out several of their sports bras), and this one made the cut. It covers the girls and provides support, but it doesn’t make me feel restricted. And that’s all a girl can ask for when working towards her new year health goals!
Whether you’re going for a run, doing squats, or pulling your kids in the wagon, you need some leggings that stay in place. I believe that this is a personal preference, but I will say everyone who I have talked to that has tried the align leggings has LOVED them. I didn’t want to bite the bullet and purchase them because I’m pretty frugal when it comes to clothes, but I have been so glad that I did. When I’m wearing these leggings, I feel like I can do ANYTHING!
A good pair of tennis shoes always puts me more in the mood to work out! I don’t know what it is, but a fresh pair of kicks changes my perspective. I have always loved Nike Frees but started wearing the OnCloud tennis shoes recently, and I enjoy them just as much!
Make Space To Achieve Your New Years Goals
Have you ever struggled to find the time to get to the gym? I have loved working out at home. All you need are a few items to make a space at home that will be perfect to work on those new years goals. If you are working out from home, dumbbells are worth the investment! You can find so many quick and efficient workouts on Pinterest and YouTube, but I have to say that I love my Beachbody workouts too! This set even comes with a dumbbell rack to set them on, which is super helpful, so you don’t have littles trying to carry your weights around the house!
Another item that I highly recommend and doesn’t take up space is a set of resistance bands. These are easy to take anywhere with you! They fit in your bag, and you can do a workout at any time. These are a great option if you plan on working on your new year health goals at school or the office too!
While doing my Beachbody workouts, I’m sure you’ve noticed I often used a yoga mat. I have tried several, and depending on the exercise you are doing, and how often you are utilizing the mat, you will have different needs. But I think this is essential to save your hands and body when you’re doing floor exercises! Stretching is also a great activity to include in your new year’s health goals, and a yoga mat is a must for stretching.
Ideas to Help You Stick With Your New Years Goals
Depending on your fitness goals, you may also need some type of tracker. Lots of people use different watches that will precisely track their workout, fitness, or health information. If you don’t have a specific watch, you could download an app on your phone to track many fitness goals and activities. I find that I reach my goals faster when I have the accountability and see the results, don’t you?!
You all know that my husband and I love music. Even while working out, I love to listen to some good tunes, or I’ll pop in my headphones to listen to an audiobook while walking. I love my Apple Airpods, but if you’re looking for something more cost-effective, try these. These Jabra in-ear headphones have some great reviews!
Most people struggle to drink enough water. You know I’ve been trying to up my water intake for a few months, especially with the pregnancy. I love using a Hydro Flask bottle. It keeps my water super cold, and having the straw helps me drink more without realizing it!
