Like for real. Teachers Pay Teachers Changed My Life!

If you haven't had a chance to check out any of my youtube videos, you should, but you should also know that I say like for real, waaaay too much. My apologies. Alright, let's just get down to business, shall we?

Teachers Pay Teachers has changed my life – significantly. If you're on the fence about starting your own business through TPT, I hope to be your motivation to believe in yourself. My husband says I should have been a motivational speaker. I tell my students to surround themselves with others that feel like warm sunshine. And I am regularly just a whole a vibe when I am speaking to our CEO Teacher® community. I really believe in every individual, and I think that's what makes me a great teacher. I see the good in everyone, and I see the good in you.

How did I get started on TpT?

How did TPT make me change my outlook on life? Can something as simple as creating a store and designing lesson plans really change your life? The answer is a resounding YES! Monetarily, emotionally, and physically.

I've always worked really hard at my job. My boss believed in me beyond what I can possibly describe. She always made me feel like my job mattered. As a teacher, saying that about a principal is fairly uncommon. Or is that just south Georgia? I pushed as hard as I could most days, but everyone needs a little pick-me-up now and then. Teachers Pay Teachers has picked me up and taken me places I didn't know I could go. The financial burden lifted from my family is indescribable. I am finally able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. Are you able to say that? If not yet, that's what I am here for. To help you live a life of freedom, purpose, and income!

So what do I tell my CEO Teacher® Students when they are wondering if its the right time to become a TPT seller? Just do it.

So what's my dream in life? What's my ultimate goal? We are supposed to have those as adults, right? I dream about helping as many educators around the world as possible. I dream about growing a beuatiful garden. Spending quality time with my family, and having the financial freedom I know I was meant for. I am the mother of 4 boys and one sweet baby girl getting ready to turn a year old very soon! My dream is to be the best mom and wife I can be.

Another thing that has really helped me in my personal career, as well as my TPT career, is my privacy. Maybe I am kicking myself in the booty by admitting this, but I think everyone needs to know. I am a VERY private person. My husband is an assistant principal and I am a former teacher, and we live in a very very very small town. It's best if we keep our lives as small and as secret as possible.

It wasn't until a fellow teacher found me on TPT that I even admitted I had a store. Now, that may not be something you're interested in, but I found that by keeping my personal life on TPT private, I was able to do my job without any naysayers. I never wanted my integrity in the classroom to be in question. I always wanted my job to be first and foremost. And TPT to be my passion.

I speak to you as if you are my friend because I don't speak to anyone else about it. I didn't' even confess I was on TPT to my family (extended family) until almost a year after I started. I didn't want to inflate my balloon and pretend that I was going to be this mega millionaire before my store took off. In February of 2015, I made nearly $10,000 on TPT. I thought it was safe to talk about it with my family then. Almost a decade ago, I am now more comfortable sharing my journey. Because I know there are teachers out there who need to hear it. Need to know that they can achieve this life of freedom too!

• It allowed me to rise up from the deepest darkest days of my life and find beauty again.
