So as promised – I wanted to give the Teachers Pay Teachers Pinterest run down. Who's ready???
First things first – SIGN UP!!!! It's important to sign up to a business account. Now, let's say you already have a personal account and you are stressing about not being able to convert over to a business account. Have no fear sista! We got this. Just go to the setting portion and change your account to business. This will allow you to track your analytics and really determine what is working for you, and what isn't. So, run along. Go do that right now.
Stop wishing. We are going to do it!!!! How much is your company worth? Can you really afford to say to yourself, well – maybe I will invest next month? No. If you're making money, it's time to start spending some of it on YOU!
Have you ever heard the saying, it takes money to make money? It's so true. I can really tell on the months when I don't spend money investing in my business. My sales go down!!! So, what we want to try out is the promoted pin option on Pinterest this month. Give yourself a dollar amount you want to spend. Which product do you want to use? I would suggest picking your favorite. Often, when we pick something we love, we are more willing to see it through. What product do I love the most? Well, I have a few. Currently, I am LOVING my Social Studies Interactive Notebook for Kindergarten.

Can you promote a pin with a personal account, or do you need a business account to do that?
Also, I was wondering, approximately how much have you spent on investing in your store (buying clipart, paying for promoted pins, etc)? I just want to get an idea of how much I'll need to spend before I start seeing any return.
Hi Kayse! Your post and video are so timely. I went to Pinterest the other day (just switched to a business account recently) and they sent me an email saying they would let me know when they started allowing promoted pins??? Do you know if it's possibly a beta program you got in or perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Thanks so much for sharing!
Hi Nicole! Thank you so much for your continued support. I can't wait for you to see what's next. To my knowledge, you cannot promote a pin with a personal account. It doesn't cost anything to move it over to a business account, so try that and see.

Hey Michaela!!! I LOVE your name!!!! Thank you for your kind words about my posts and videos. I did have to "apply" to be given an opportunity to promote pins. It only took a week or two. I think they just wanted to make sure my pins were business related and that they offered what promoted pins are looking for. Continue to pin daily, and they should approve you. Let me know if you haven't heard from them in a week or so. Also, check back next week.
